Thousands of Palestinians across Gaza gather each night in makeshift viewing areas fashioned from worn-out tents, beside the rubble of bombed homes, or along the shattered streets of the besieged enclave, crowding around giant screens to watch the FIFA World Cup.

Under the weight of the Israeli Occupation blockade, closed crossings, collapsing hospitals, and the breakdown of cold-storage systems, a dose of insulin has become a matter of survival for tens of thousands of people with diabetes in Gaza.

From makeshift camps west of Tripoli to first-aid workshops and legal and media training sessions, preparations are intensifying for the Moroccan Sumud Flotilla 2, part of a broader Maghreb initiative aiming to reach the Egyptian border in a renewed attempt to break the Israeli Occupation’s blockade on Gaza.

Though the Israeli aggression has ostensibly subsided since October 2025, Gaza today reads less like a territory at peace and more like a live experiment in survival under “a ceasefire” too fragile to guarantee either security or sustenance.

Even after the ceasefire took effect in October 2025, the Israeli Occupation has continued to bomb infrastructure and block repair efforts, preventing any meaningful improvement in Gaza’s water crisis.
